Our mission
CQBRG is dedicated to serving the business community of Cobargo and surrounds in the recovery from the Black Summer Bushfire disaster which impacted Cobargo village and devastated the surrounding region in 2019-20.
Why join?
The CQBRG has been at the forefront of recovery efforts and advocacy for the local business community from the immediate aftermath of the Black Summer Bushfire Disaster New Year’s Eve 2019/2020.
The CQBRG Committee works tirelessly on your behalf to advocate and be a voice for the continuing needs of our local business community in matters relating to re-building, recovery and fostering resilience for our business community.
Our Work
Since its inception, the group has consulted and worked closely with Local, State and Federal Government at all stages through the bushfire recovery process, including the National Bushfire Recovery Agency (now the National Recovery and Resilience Agency), Resilience NSW, Regional NSW, Non Government Organisations including Australian Business Volunteers, Business Council Australia’s BizRebuild team, TBH Consulting, TAKT Architects and SJB Architects along with other community groups and individual members of the local community.
The CQBRG has provided a number of support opportunities for small businesses through its relationships with these key stakeholders.
At present, CQBRG support two main recovery projects:
The Cobargo Innovation Hub
The Rebuild Cobargo project (main street rebuild) as a founding member of the CCDC Ltd.
CQBRG Inc is a proud founding member of the Cobargo Community Development Corporation Limited (CCDC), the not-for-profit entity established to deliver the Rebuild Cobargo Project (Main Street Rebuild) for the benefit of the community.
